Penny Coult
Fused glass Artist
I’ve always enjoyed arts and making things. I have a degree in Zoology so am drawn to animal images as well as microbiological images Another passion is historical images especially Anglo Saxon and Celtic artwork . I then studied sculpture and followed this with a mouldmaking course and fell for glorious world of the 3 D extension into glass casting.
I set up my studio 9 years ago. I used a whole range of techniques and can design and make all types of bespoke glass items including vessels, plates, panels, splashbacks. I use techniques such as cutting, fusing, sandblasting, screen printing using enamels, slumping and coldworking.

I have been involved in setting up the Contemporary Glass Society in the East. I also assist in teaching children in art after school club. I have been attending several workshops for the last 9 years on glass fusing by the top international glass artist teachers.

I will be starting to teach basic glass techniques soon, making coasters and keyrings. To find out more, please contact me.
